Ranger von Raisdorf is a beautiful 4 year old red and black German Shepherd who is very engaging and affectionate with his people. He'll nudge your hand or lean right up against you to soak up as much attention as possible. In a prior home, he was described as "loving and wonderful" with the couple, including following the wife around, and frequently going up to the husband with a wagging tail. Ranger is looking for a shepherd-experienced home where he can be your only pet (including no small dogs or cats), and with  proper introductions to visitors. Smart and very treat-motivated, he is housebroken, knows his "Sit" and "Down" commands, and with his manageable medium energy level, he easily settles into a nice pace on walks. This boy is a people pup. He does okay at the rescue around other big dogs on leash and allows them  to greet him in playgroups, but he mostly keeps to himself and isn't a dog park dog. He does love playing with toys, and even swims! Handsome Ranger will love and devote himself to his people.
